Arriving at a Redwood Forest in Bonny Doon, California in 1991, the family built a home and Joanna pursued her passion for collecting botanicals.
Stemming from garden bouquets, her obsession for aromatic plants grew and her discovery of the art of distillation brought more purpose to her garden endeavors.
Since childhood Joanna has had a fondness for Violas. She enjoys the humble Johnny Jump-Ups, the bold colorful faces of hybrid Pansies, the powerful, yet elusively fragrant, diminutive Viola Oderata....Pansy derived from the Frensh 'Pensee'
The Miller's Daughter produces small batches of botanicals and tinctures that are carefully blended into products for the face and body: lotions, creams, and serums. The fresh products offer estate grown plants and distilled hydrolats as primary ingredients.
